Loads of people cycle + walk however; by car is your best option to explore. There is Uber+Lyft cars as well as buses. Most everything is less than a 15 minute ride.
Free street parking is always available and pretty much everywhere unless in Downtown (you will have to pay but its not too expensive compared to some cities).
